The project thud far has been eye opening, tasking, challenging and educative.
The
workshop was a good start as there were people from all the 'offices'
directly and indirectly involved in having the large number of
detainees.
The advocacy visit took me out of our comfort zones, in a bid to gaining knowledge.
The
Prison visits made all I learnt at the workshop and visit become
reality as I was faced with the situations as they are and not as they
seem.
After gathering information from the
detainees, facing the rigorous court processes would have been 'hell' if
not for the support of our staffs.
This project I must say, has opened me up to the reality of advocacy in Nigeria and to the fact that Legal aid is for all.
