Kenneth C. Uzoamaka from ABSU Law Clinic: Reflection

I am Kenneth c. Uzoamaka, 400 level Law student of Abia State University, Umuahia campus. I am a member of Abia State University law clinic. The law clinic is a forum that renders free legal services (pro bono) to indigent persons in the society. It also enlightens persons on their fundamental Human Rights as enshrined in the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria. Personally I would like to appreciate Network of University Legal Aid Institution (NULAI) for this wonderful initiative.

My team and i went on a courtesy visit to the office of Attorney General Abia State in a bid to encourage him on his work. We had an interactive session in which we also discussed the need for justice. He personally encouraged us to keep trying our best as this is more of practicals needed for a becoming lawyer. We were equally advised to be more proactive and diligent in our duties.
I was able to know and realised that most inmates in the various prisons, were not actually the ones that committed various offences charged against them.some of them were there out of ignorant of the law, with the help of NULAI,we are working  so hard on it ,in enlighten the people in the society of their rights.
Long live NULAI! Long live Abia State University!! Long live Nigeria!!!
