Kenneth Chibuzo U from ABSU Law Clinic-Personal Reflection

I am Kenneth Chibuzo Uzoamaka, 400 level Law student of Abia State University, Umuahia campus. I am a member of Abia State University law clinic. The law clinic is a forum that renders free legal services (pro bono) to indigent persons in the society.

It also enlightens persons on their fundamental Human Rights as enshrined in the constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria. Personally I would like to appreciate Network of University Legal Aid Institution (NULAI) for this wonderful initiative.

My team and i went on a courtesy visit to the office of Attorney General Abia State in a bid to encourage him on his work. We had an interactive session in which we also discussed the need for justice. From the talks we had with the Attorney General, I was made to understand that most of the inmates in the prisons were not there for the crimes they had committed but also due to their ignorance of the law. Definitely we are also working hard in trying to sensitize them on their constitutional rights.

He personally encouraged us to keep trying our best as this is more of practicals needed for a becoming lawyer. We were equally advised to be more proactive and diligent in our duties.
Long live NULAI! Long live Abia State University!! Long live Nigeria!!!
