I handled a case the case of Kalu Ifeanyi, whom I gathered from his
interview was arrested at a hotel in Aba accused of stealing phones.
During our interaction we discussed the circumstances of his arrest which was quite wrong because he was just bundled into the van no question. Even though he has been granted bail, we are still getting to contact his family to sign his surety .
It was particularly significant because a lot of people fall victim of wrongful arrests and have no one to secure their bail and are languishing in cells.
The method and manner of arrest used by the police most of the time are unlawful even when there is no reasonable suspicion
This experience has helped widen my perspective on people who are hurt by misappropriation of Justice and the recklessness of law enforcement agents
I feel quite good to know the law and help people through the law regain their freedom
